Animals:The pedigree utilized was part of the granddaughter design of the common QTL mapping effort of German AI and breeding organizations, several German animal breeding institutes and animl computing cerntres, initiated by the German cattle breeders' fede
     Breeds associated:
    n/a
Design:Four different persistency traits were included in the analysis: milk yield, fat yield, protein yield, and energy yield.
Analysis:There were 246 microsatellite markers, 8 single-strand conformation polymorphisms, 4 protein polymorphisms, and 5 erythrocyte antigen loci genotyped. Breeding values of the first 3 lactations are estimated with a random regression animal model.
