    Animals:Animals were Icelandic horses and Exmoor ponies.
     Breeds associated:
    Design:Icelandic horses were genotyped using the Illumina EquineSNP50 or EquineSNP70 Beadchip and analyzed for insect bite hypersensitivity. A total of 33,523 SNPs were used for analysis. For the validation study, three candidate SNPs were genotyped in Exmoor ponies.
    Analysis:The Bayes C method was used to perform GWAS.
