    Animals:Animals were Friesian horses.
     Breeds associated:
    Design:Animals were genotyped using the Illumina EquineSNP50 Genotyping BeadChip, and GWAS of hydrocephalus was performed. A total of 29,720 SNPs were used for analysis.
    Analysis:Significant SNPs were identified based on differences in genotype frequencies between cases and controls using a chi-square test.
