    Animals:Animals were 129 bay horses representing five different breeds: 39 Quarter Horses, 64 Arabians, 23 Persian Horses, 2 Standardbreds, and 1 Thoroughbred.
     Breeds associated:
    Design:Horses were either genotyped using the Affymetrix Axiom Equine Genotyping Array or genotypes were extracted from whole-genome sequence data, and GWAS was performed for shade of bay coat color. A total of 331,084 SNPs were used for analysis.
    Analysis:Linear regression was used.
