    Animals:Animals were Duroc x Landrace/Yorkshire male pigs.
     Breeds associated:
Design:Animals were genotyped using the GeneSeek Genomic Profiler Porcine BeadChip 80K and analyzed for eQTL associated with androstenone in backfat.
Analysis:Two methods, a parametric approach and a non-parametric approach, were used to identify eQTL. After eQTL identification, a trait association analysis was performed to test each eQTL for association with androstenone concentrations and gene expression levels.
Software:R software, Matrix eQTL, Krux eQTL
