QTL Experiment in Brief |
Animals: | Animals were Chinese Erhualian and Western Duroc x (Landrace x Yorkshire) pigs. A meta-analysis was performed using data from these two populations as well as White Duroc x Erhualian F2 and Sutai pigs. |
Breeds associated:
|
Design: | Animals were genotyped using the Illumina PorcineSNP60 BeadChip and analyzed for meat quality traits. A final set of 35,985 SNPs for Erhualian and 56,216 SNPs for DLY pigs were used for analysis. Meta-analysis used 29,516 SNPs. |
Analysis: | A generalized linear mixed model was used. |
Software: | GenABEL in R, METAL |
