        Tools
Date: Fri, 13 Dec 2024 09:16:54 -0600
Dear all,

We are excited to announce our upcoming online course, Food Traceability
Using Genomic Tools, scheduled for 25-28 February 2025.

This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the genomic tools used
in food authenticity and traceability, with a special focus on the seafood
industry. Participants will gain both theoretical insights and hands-on
experience with cutting-edge sequencing technologies and bioinformatics
workflows.

Learning Outcomes:

- Learn traditional and modern genomic tools like Sanger sequencing,
  Illumina, and Nanopore technologies.
- Explore bioinformatics pipelines for food product identification and origin
  testing.
- Gain practical skills through workshops on DNA metabarcoding and real-world
  data analysis.

Who Should Attend:

This course is ideal for researchers, food safety officers, quality control
technicians, and supply chain managers. A basic understanding of molecular
biology is recommended, but no advanced genomic knowledge is required.

Schedule:

- Dates: 25-28 February 2025
- Time: 14:00 to 20:00 (Berlin time)
- Combination of lectures, practical exercises, and Q&A sessions.
