Dear All,
Here in the very liveable city of Melbourne, Australia, we are looking for
a Quantitative Geneticist to join our Computational Biology team at
Agriculture Victoria Research. This research unit specialises in
statistical genetics and genomics using big data to improve productivity
and welfare of agricultural species.

The successful candidate will undertake innovative research in dairy cattle
& work collaboratively with other internal and external research groups.
The work will focus on developing innovative approaches to improve dairy
cow performance across breeds by exploiting multi-dimensional datasets that
include traditional phenotypes, novel high-throughput phenotypes (such as
mid-infrared spectral data, sensors and molecular biomarkers) and
sequence/genomic data (potentially including transcriptomic and epigenomic
data).
